New users without an account should select Sign-up

This includes brand new users who have never used spectra before AND any users who have received invites to groups from other members. Receiving an invite to a group does not mean that you have an account, it just means that there are group(s) waiting for you after you create your account.

  1. Select SIGN UP
  2. Enter your name and email address and continue. 
    • Your email is private to you, we don't use it to send marketing messages or share it with anyone else. Other users of Spectra never see this.
  3. Check your email for your 1st verification code (we send 2). Enter it, and continue. 
    • If you didn't get one within 1-5 minutes, check your spam/junk folders. If you still didn't receive it, contact your network administrators to ensure that you don't have spam filters set up to block incoming messages from Spectra.  
  4. Enter your cell phone number and continue. 
    • Your cell phone number is private to you, we don't use it to send marketing messages or share it with anyone else. Other users of Spectra never see this.
  5. Check your text messages for your 2nd and final verification code. Enter it, and continue. 
  6. Your done!
    • You are now ready to accept your pending group invites and/or create your own groups! 

If at any time you received an error that states that we already have an account with the same contact information that means you need to go to LOG IN and use this info (see below). 

Users that have already have an account Log-in.

  1. Select LOG IN
  2. Enter your cell phone number
    • If you have an email already associated to your account, you can also use this instead to log in at this step if you prefer. 
  3. Check your text messages for your verification code. Enter it, and continue.
  4. Your done! 

BETA USERS: If you were a member of Spectra during our BETA between the period of March 2015 and today and you are logging in with your cell phone number, you will be prompted to enter an email as well to further secure your account. Check your email for your 1st verification code (we send 2). Enter it, and continue. If you didn't get one within 1-5 minutes, check your spam/junk folders. If you still didn't receive it, contact your network administrators to ensure that you don't have spam filters set up to block incoming messages from Spectra.
